Cork-founded companies Climeaction and Otonomee are strengthening customer experience capabilities across US markets through strategic expansion and operational scaling according to an Irish Examiner report.
Climeaction, which maintains offices in Cork and Boston, helps businesses reduce carbon emissions and save energy across industrial and manufacturing sectors. CEO Paul Murphy stated the US expansion resulted from client demand and strategic positioning, with American manufacturers and life sciences companies facing rising energy costs, regulatory pressure, and growing investor expectations.
The company expects US operations to represent approximately 40% of revenue in 2026 whilst maintaining Ireland as its home base. Murphy noted that whilst pace in securing customer traction initially presented challenges, trust-building has enabled companies to move quickly from analysis to implementation once established.
Otonomee, a premium outsourced services provider operating global customer management solutions, has grown its US team to 30 employees across the East Coast from Florida to North Carolina. Chief corporate officer Hilary O'Shea stated US clients increasingly require local support, with the company's largest clients being US multinationals and rapidly scaling healthtech brands.
The fully remote business operates a 600-strong operations and technology team across four continents, serving major brands in wearable health technology, fintech, facilities management, and software as a service sectors. Otonomee achieved €20 million revenue in 2025 and targets €50 million by 2028.
O'Shea emphasised that customer demands have accelerated, with brand loyalty and client revenues at stake, requiring the company to integrate seamlessly with complex technology systems whilst maintaining service quality across global operations.
