Ford has partnered with Ohme in Ireland to strengthen its customer experience (CX) for electric vehicle owners.
The initiative expands Ford’s Power Promise programme, offering complementary at-home EV chargers, installation, and dealer support to qualifying customers.
“Switching into an electric vehicle for the first time can be a daunting prospect for some drivers, so Ford has decided to simplify and de-stress the entire ownership experience by launching a one-of-a-kind promise to new electric vehicle buyers," said John Manning, market lead, Ford of Ireland.
The partnership builds on Ohme’s existing collaborations in the UK and provides customers with eight-year, 160,000 km high-voltage component and battery warranties, five years of free servicing, and access to more than 2,127 public charging points through Ford’s BlueOval Charge Network. The integration ensures charging occurs at optimal times, reducing running costs while maintaining a consistent and convenient ownership experience.
Ford reported a 500 percent increase in electric passenger car sales across Ireland last year. By embedding support services and infrastructure directly into the buying journey, the company aims to further accelerate adoption and enhance overall CX. Manning added, “This commitment from Ford, and partnership with Ohme, aims to strengthen our Power Promise and entice new buyers into the exciting world of electric vehicles.”
The collaboration also includes dealer training to ensure staff can guide customers through installation and maintenance processes, reinforcing a seamless and stress-free customer journey. By connecting infrastructure, warranties, and expert guidance, Ford and Ohme seek to convert initial interest in EVs into sustained loyalty.
