Irish telecommunications operator Vodafone Ireland has marked 25 years in Ireland with opening of new headquarters in Dublin city centre and announcement of further €360 million investment in the country.
A new six-storey, 63,000 square foot headquarters at St Stephen's Green marks next chapter in Vodafone's long-term presence in Ireland, enhancing customer experience capabilities through expanded operational infrastructure and sustainable facility design according to a company announcement.
More than 850 employees will be based in the new office, with over 2,000 people working with Vodafone Ireland nationwide across its headquarters and retail stores. Designed with sustainability in mind, the new headquarters features green roof, rainwater harvesting, and on-site solar technology, supporting Vodafone Ireland's ambition to reach net zero by 2028.
The €360 million investment in the country will support businesses, regional development, and emerging technologies, helping future-proof Ireland's digital infrastructure for the years ahead. It includes €200 million in Vodafone Ireland's mobile network, building on the €500 million five-year network investment programme announced in 2023, and €160 million in digital and IT systems by 2030.
The investment will support faster, more reliable connectivity, deliver next-generation customer platforms such as digital care assistant Tobi, and prepare the network for next-generation technologies including AI, IoT, and smart city applications.
Sabrina Casalta, CEO of Vodafone Ireland, stated the move reflects both milestone and commitment to the future, as the company continues to invest in networks, digital innovation, and customer experience to support Ireland's evolving digital economy.
