Cork-headquartered employee experience platform Poppulo has announced the acquisition of Sociabble, a Paris-based employee engagement platform, in a move designed to unify internal communications, intranet and engagement capabilities within a single AI-powered platform, according to Business Insider.

The combined platform integrates Sociabble's social intranet, frontline mobile application, employee advocacy and rewards solutions into Poppulo's existing infrastructure, creating a unified engagement layer spanning digital signage, mobile devices, meeting rooms and IT systems across global enterprise environments.

The acquisition addresses a recognised gap in enterprise employee experience, with Gallup data indicating that only 20% of employees are actively engaged globally. Internal communications and HR teams are increasingly contending with fragmented systems, governance concerns and difficulty demonstrating measurable business outcomes from their programmes.

Poppulo AI will power targeting, content performance optimisation and employee engagement analytics across the combined platform, while the integration of both companies' data sets is intended to enable more personalised and measurable employee experiences at scale.

Poppulo chief executive Ruth Fornell said: "With Sociabble, we're delivering a unified platform that works with the rest of their work tech so leaders can reach every employee, understand what resonates, and drive meaningful outcomes across the business."

Sociabble chief executive Jean-Louis Bénard said the combined entity brings "a unique value proposition to the employee experience market, with the ability to reach and engage more than 50 million employees worldwide."

The deal also expands Poppulo's open platform ecosystem, offering enterprises consolidated governance across communications, intranet and engagement as organisations move to reduce technology sprawl.
