Momntum brings human nuance to AI-powered customer service

Dún Laoghaire-based start-up Momntum has rolled out “Laila,” a conversational AI now used across Sisu Clinics' phone lines, WhatsApp, and social channels. Unlike basic chatbots, Laila handles complex queries, appointment tasks, and sensitive topics—while escalating to human staff if needed. CEO Brian Kenny says the AI is designed as a “layer” to streamline front-line interactions, not fully replace people. The company recently raised €1m to scale its human-centric AI approach.
