Majority of NI businesses stuck with energy suppliers despite cost pressures

A new survey by the Utility Regulator reveals that 62% of non-domestic electricity customers in Northern Ireland have not switched suppliers in the past five years—even during the height of the energy cost crisis. Just 30% of businesses now say they’re concerned about their energy bills, down from 53% two years ago, signalling stabilising sentiment but limited engagement with market options.
