US-based enterprise technology services firm Kyndryl has announced AI Orchestration for Business, a new capability built on the Kyndryl Agentic AI Framework designed to move enterprises beyond isolated AI pilots and deliver coordinated, policy-driven AI agent functionality at scale, according to Kyndryl.

The capability targets organisations in retail, consumer packaged goods, travel and transportation that are struggling to leverage AI to meet customer expectations around personalised experiences, real-time responsiveness and seamless fulfilment. It autonomously interacts with AI agents across supply chains, commerce, finance, IT and customer operations to enable cross-functional alignment and controlled execution.

Rather than reacting to disruptions after they occur, the system delivers proactive alerts, recommended actions and embedded agentic workflows to frontline teams and operational roles, enabling intervention or approval of automated actions before issues impact customers or revenue.

Core use cases include agentic commerce, which connects supply chain, pricing, promotions and customer engagement to personalise experiences without sacrificing control; proactive supply chain disruption management, which identifies risks and financial exposure in real time; and coordinated customer experience enablement, which aligns inventory, pricing and fulfilment decisions to deliver consistent service outcomes.

Rachel Calhoun, Vice President and Global Retail, CPG, and Travel and Transportation Leader at Kyndryl, said: "Enterprises are moving fast to embrace AI, but most are stuck in isolated pilots that don't change or improve their daily operations."

Calhoun added: "Kyndryl AI Orchestration for Business helps companies bring order and clarity to AI complexity, coordinating how AI agents act across business functions, with clear guardrails and human oversight. That means fewer disruptions, faster decisions and the ability to protect and grow revenue and customer loyalty as AI becomes part of how the business runs."

The capability is cloud and large language model-agnostic, integrates with existing enterprise platforms and can operate across hybrid cloud, on-premises and edge environments. Kyndryl Consult experts will support customers in designing, delivering and deploying the solution, with policy-driven execution and full auditability embedded directly into agent workflows at the reasoning level.
