Ireland's largest independently owned bookmaker BOYLE Sports has partnered with US-based AI-powered identity intelligence firm Jumio to deliver a faster, safer and more seamless onboarding experience for players across the UK and Ireland, according to Press Release Hub.

BOYLE Sports is deploying Jumio's Identity Verification and Doc Proof solutions to automatically verify new players' identities during onboarding. The AI-powered checks are designed to support compliance with new Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) mandates introduced under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, while reducing friction in the customer onboarding journey.

The partnership delivers higher automatic verification rates, reducing reliance on manual checks and lowering operating costs for BOYLE Sports. The system also provides robust, automated anti-money laundering screening as part of a streamlined player verification workflow designed to meet the dual demands of regulatory compliance and customer experience quality.

Gareth Mok, Director of Operational Compliance at BOYLE Sports, said: "BOYLE Sports is committed to putting customers first, and that starts with making onboarding as simple, secure and reliable as possible."

Mok added: "Jumio gives us a more advanced identity verification experience, with AI-powered checks that help us protect our customers and our business. We have already seen higher automatic verification rates, which not only improves the customer onboarding experience, but also reduces our operating costs by minimising the need for manual checks."

Mike Nawrocki, Chief Revenue Officer at Jumio, said: "Gaming operators are being asked to move faster, protect players better and meet new GRAI compliance expectations all at once. We know that a strong onboarding experience is not just about speed, it's about building trust from the first interaction."

The deployment reflects a broader shift across the Irish and UK gaming sectors, where operators are under increasing pressure to balance customer experience quality, fraud prevention and regulatory readiness simultaneously. Ireland's Gambling Regulation Act 2024 has placed additional requirements on operators, making automated identity verification a critical component of compliant and competitive player onboarding.
